As you consider your 2024 tax year gifts, thank you for remembering Radford University! Year-end giving can be a powerful way to reduce your tax burden if your income is higher, you have sold appreciated stock, have mutual fund pass-through capital gains, or would like to donate appreciated stock. Long-term capital gains rates are low by historical standards, so it's a great time to talk to your financial advisor, CPA and/or your tax attorney to see if a donation to Radford University would help significantly reduce your tax burden this year. Most importantly, a gift to Radford University would allow you to help the next generation of students and put them on the path to success.

Important Deadlines

Radford University offices will close for the holidays at 5:00 PM EST on December 23, 2024. Regular business hours will resume January 2, 2025.

Checks:

Gifts made by check must be postmarked by Tuesday, December 31. Please make checks payable to "Radford University Foundation, Inc." and indicate which fund you are supporting on the memo line.

Gifts made by credit card must be processed online by 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Gifts entered online after this date cannot be guaranteed to post before the end of the 2024 calendar year. Please use the "Gift Information" form below to make your 2024 online gift now.

Gifts of Securities:

Gifts from IRAS / IRA Charitable Rollover:

Donors wishing to take advantage of the IRA Charitable Rollover provision for 2024 must ensure the funds are transferred and received by the Radford University Foundation by Thursday, December 19. Contact Derek Neal at (540) 831-6573 or at dneal@rufound.org with questions.
