Business students in "Managing New Ventures" pair with students in Physical Therapy to design, build, and test prosthetic hands. Fashion design students use duct tape to create a garment for the annual Anything But Clothing Fashion Show. Students from across the university take "Think Through Make: an Interdisciplinary Approach," a design course to build a tiny house.
Radford University student mentors and faculty helped Radford City middle and high school students build robots that battled in a sumo-style competition. Faculty and students collaborate to build micro-climate sensors for aviary research. The Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL) hosted a green screen build party. Members of the RU Film Circle and ROC-TV built their own portable green screens.

Radford students and faculty are learning through making in coursework, as part of research projects and through outreach activities.
